Alexander Vaughn Williams was apprehended by homicide detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department for his alleged role in the murder of Odenton resident Markus Nocho, 26, in the shopping center on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

At approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday night, officers responded to the shopping center in the 2600 block of Annapolis Road in Hanover to investigate reports of a shooting in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers say that they found Nocho suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation ultimately led them to identify Williams as a suspect, and he was arrested without incident, the department announced on Friday, Jan. 27.

According to police, even though charges have been filed, anyone with additional information is being asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Homicide Unit by calling (410) 222-4731.
